Bully Ray provides an update on next year’s WrestleMania main event, uncertain about Cody Rhodes’ position
Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

After the success of WrestleMania XL, WWE wasted no time in announcing the location of next year’s WrestleMania. The show is destined to be a must-see with a star-studded line-up. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray opined about his insights on the Show of Shows next year and expressed that Cody Rhodes might not be main eventing the show.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, the former Tag Team Champion provided an update on WWE’s planning process for next year’s show. He stated that the CCO Triple H is focusing on backward planning. He revealed that this was inspired by the booking idea of Dusty Rhodes . Moreover, Bully Ray expressed the uncertainty of Cody Rhodes main eventing for the third year in a row.

WWE is booking backwards. How do I … think I know this? Because of the way Hunter thinks. Hunter thinks very old school. Hunter learned a lot from Vince McMahon – there is no doubt. But Hunter, being old school and being a fan of Dusty [Rhodes’] booking, and in my opinion the best type of booking, they’re booking this backwards. As of right this very minute, I could not guarantee you that Cody Rhodes is in the main event at 41. Bully Ray via Busted Open

Over the top, Ray expressed that he thinks WWE has already planned the two main events for next year. After all, WWE is heading to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas next year. It is going to be a historic event, as this will mark the first WrestleMania in Sin City since 1993.

Furthermore, stars like The Rock, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Jade Cargill are all likely to be featured on the show. The Final Boss has already vowed to come back to take down the American Nightmare. There was speculation among the fanbase that WWE might make it a main event. However, with this new update by Ray, the possibility of it is lessened.

Possible main events for WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas

WWE has major plans regarding WrestleMania 41. Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns tore the house down this year. Therefore, WWE has big expectations for the show next year. According to some heavy rumors, WWE might plan a singles match with The Rock as next year’s main event of the Grandest Stage of Them All.

The People’s Champion might face Cody Rhodes at the show. Also, there is a high possibility of the dream match between the Final Boss and the Tribal Chief taking place under the bright lights of Sin City. Meanwhile, CM Punk is also rumored to be the main event one night of the show next year.

The Best in the World might face Seth Rollins , which was the planned match for this year before his injury. In addition to that, there is speculation among the fans that there can be a triple threat match involving the Second City Saint, the Visionary, and Drew McIntyre to headline night one of the show in 2025.
